“ Just passed by and it shows that a new restaurant is coming soon. If anyone knows where Korea Foody may have relocated, pls share as this is our go to for kimchee pancake, fish jhun, spicy pork and bbq chicken. I hope they are still cooking some place else ”
“ Business is Closed 1-8-25. That's to Bad. Another Korean restaurant will be taking its place. Aloha, Derek ”
“ Korea Foody has been there for awhile now and we finally decided to give it a try. It was great & came back the following weekend! Friendly service and delicious Korean food. Kamsahamnida! We will be back to enjoy your authentic grinds! Aloha ”
“ I love the food and I always get the bibimbap! I didn't take a lot of picture but the others got meatjun and it wasn't overly battered like other meatjun where you taste mostly the eggs lol Also the kimchi there tastes delicious, not sour like some all you can eat places you go to. Service is nice and the ambiance felt homie. I guess I love going to restaurants that make me feel like I'm eating home cooked meal. ”
“ Solid, authentic Korean food in Waipahu...and they're open Sundays! Korea Foody is located behind the Aloha Island Mart and gas station on Farrington and Leokane. My hubby and I dined in for lunch as the only diners at the time. We shared a stone pot bibimbap and an order of seafood pancake. We were all pleasantly surprised to see the seafood pancake prepared as ten individual sand dollar-sized patties instead of one plate-sized pancake portion. The little pancakes meant crispness in every bite! I'm no bibimbap expert, but the stone pot bibimbap here was tasty. The lady who took and brought our order out also guided us in mixing the bibimbap ingredients evenly! That was really nice of her. No galbitang or japchae, but I wasn't expecting an extensive Korean menu outside of town. One restroom stall is available inside the restaurant. Korea Foody is a nice alternative to the countless choices of Filipino restaurants or local plate lunches in Waipahu. They provide takeout and catering services, too. Closed Tuesdays. ”
“ Takeout Dinner in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... I tried to patronize this small business three times: 1. Mother's Day - of course, they were busy and couldn't take any more orders. Luckily, I called first. 2. The later part of June - they were on a one-week vacation. I saw the sign on their door. 3. I called first (6-29-24) - they were open!!! Located at the Waipahu Shopping Plaza, Korea Foody (isn't the name catchy?) is in the building to the left of Pacific Supermarket. Free shared parking is much appreciated! I ordered from the cashier who suggested that I oder online or call ahead so I wouldn't have to wait so long. I didn't mind because I wanted to take photos and wander around (to find the convenient restroom). Even the female worker gave me a takeout menu. They're so thoughtful and kind! I took my Korea Foody Special and Combo (2 choice) Plates to my aunty's house. I devoured the kalbi and tasted everything else. The meat jun was delicious with sweet sour dipping sauce. The BBQ chicken was OK. The bulgogi was yummy! I liked the savory cabbage kimchi; the slightly sweet grated radish kimchi, and the bean sprouts. I was so hungry that I finished off the bowl of rice! I would return to this clean, spacious restaurant and bring friends and family! This is legit Korean cuisine! ”
“ Early dinner on a a Saturday, one of the other 10 tables occupied. Greeted immediately with friendly smiles, water & menus delivered promptly. Great portions! Tasty daikon, bean sprouts & Kim Chee. Entrees delivered quickly. Kalbi was meaty & we were provided with scissors in the event we wanted to cut it smaller. Spicy pork very flavorful. Kim Chee mandoo was fried to perfection. Clean, comfortable seats. A new go to for Korean food in our hood! ”
“ I can't say anything bad about this place... Except, their workers are over the top friendly! (& I don't mean that in a bad way) Came here around 7:30 pm knowingly they close at 8 pm. We really just wanted Korean food and was going to be quick. But the workers and I'm assuming she must be one of the owners were so welcoming even at the time we showed up. We ordered a 2 choice and the special. It came out fresh and hot! The Kalbi was sooo soft and the portions were just right. When the lady seen that we had 2 younger kids and we were having a hard time eating, she willingly offered to hold our son while we finished our food. This restaurant does close at 8 pm... But they did not rush us at all. Lol if anything my husband said they wanted us to stay longer! All in all this place is amazing and glad it's close to home. Their food is great and their service is even better. Can't wait to come back again soon to try out other items on the menu. ”
“ First off, the name is so cute. Korean Foody. Haha I definitely won't forget this one. This little Korean restaurant is conveniently located right off the high way. It shares a parking lot with a bunch of other places and a gas station, so there's plenty of parking. They offer your typical Korean food spread like tofu soups, noodles, bbq meats, meat jun and bibimbap. Most of the dishes come with 3 vegetable banchans. I'm not sure if the ban Chan side dishes change, but we had cabbage kim Chee, bean sprouts and radish kimchee. The vegetables were good enough to eat on their own with a bowl of rice. Then our bi bim bap and soup arrived. The flavors were great and I love a stone pit dish because the rice gets dry and crispy. The bi bim bap was served with the sauce on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. This worked out well because my dinner date doesn't like the sauce and I love it lol. The soup was really good too. I liked all the little clams and mussels it had in it and it was perfect with the rice. The aunty serving us was really nice. They food came out fast and we were checked on, but left to talk. A group of like 8 Korean speaking men came in to eat while we were there and I felt like the food as legitimized through that. It's byob I believe, so that's a plus if you like to have your own drinks while you eat. They add $1 per take out container, so we tried our best to finish the food we ordered haha. We ended up wasting some. It was a great meal! I'll be back when I'm in the mood for Korean food. They had some take out orders get picked up while we were there too, so I could probably do that next time if I'm on the go. ”
